Ironman Arizona 2010

Matt's bike.. ready to go down to bike check in...

Ashtin's first ironman... He slept very comfortably in the wrap
or the stroller through most of the 9 hrs..

Inspiration Station! Our kiddos favorite thing to
do at every ironman.. Make signs for their daddy!

okay, not everyone made signs.. Ashtin just watched!

He got to go swimming for his first time...

We made it down in time to see Matt before
he had to be in the water..



The kids love talking to him....

3 of my 6 with their daddy before he heads
off for his crazy long day! The older 2 were off trying
to find a good spot to watch him.



This is always the hard part for me..
Watching him walk away to start the race.
 I worry and I cry every time, even though I know he will be fine...

the swim and the bike.. 5 hours to go on the bike..




And off he goes!



We had a great place staked out on the bike,
 we were able to see him several times!

It rained and rained!
We were soaked even though
we had umbrellas! We dried the little girls pants
off with the heater in the car so
they wouldn't be miserable the rest of the day!
Ugh! what a day.. Worth it? You bet!

Looking tired! He was definitely not
feeling too hot, I was worrying about him!

While daddy swims, bikes and runs we
swam in the rain, pushed a stroller
through the streets and sand and ran
around the bridges and dug holes
 in the sand! What a day!
